Teaching and learning hydrostatic drives in construction and agricultural equipment is challenging due largely to issues associated with safety, confined space, noise, exhaust emissions, absence of load, and machine availability.
These challenges led to the Fluid Power Training Institute’s latest innovation — the MF500, a training simulator that can run at full load and speed and the wheels don’t even touch the ground. Its 19-in. color touchscreen, allows simulted driving uphill, downhill, and even over-running. Software is designed to make it simulate every fault a typical hydrostatic transmission can experience. You can even choose which brand of hydrostatic transmission you want, with any type of control option. The accompanying photo shows optional implement and articulated machine steering trainer also with full load capability and cylinder service training station.
