In a special grand-opening celebration and ribbon cutting that took place in June, Pirtek Space Coast’s service-and-supply center based in Rockledge, Florida announced new operation under “power couple” Dan and Karin Ferretti.

“When the corporate office made this location available, we immediately raised our hands,” says Dan Ferretti. “The rest is history.” The Rockledge location operated as a corporate-run center since 2002. Though it will continue to serve the hydraulic-hose maintenance and repair needs of the Brevard County area, the couple expressed plans to pursue customers in a number of different industries on Florida’s Space Coast. These include construction, port and marine, defense, salt mining, and transportation.

Karin Ferretti is certified by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives (ICFE) and has worked as a franchise development team member with Pirtek for 14 years. She will continue her role as franchise development administrator at Pirtek USA Corporate Headquarters, also located in Rockledge. Dan has lived in Florida’s Space Coast region for 15 years and has a background in finance, contract, and accounting services for major defense contractors including Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman.

Karin Ferretti adds that Pirtek Space Coast’s advanced team from the previous ownership will be beneficial to continuing the success of the facility. “It’s an established center and the existing team is phenomenal,” she says. Dan describes the facility’s potential as “unlimited,” and mentioned plans to increase its exposure and to raise its visibility.

Growing up in Long Island, Dan Ferretti worked for his father’s electrical business and had aspirations to own his own business as a teen. “I’ve always had the desire to lead my own group of employees and to go out, do something and make a difference,” he says. “I believe this is that opportunity.”

There are 57 Pirtek Service & Supply Centers and a fleet of Mobile Service Vehicles throughout the United States. Globally, Pirtek has more than 400 locations and maintains a fleet of 2,000 Mobile Service Vehicles in 23 countries around the world.
