Hyde Group Gets New President

The Hyde Group, Southridge, Mass., announced the promotion of Robert Scoble to president of Hyde Group Inc.

The Hyde Group, Southridge, Mass., announced the promotion of Robert Scoble to president of Hyde Group Inc. Scoble, who reports to Richard M. Clemence, CEO of Hyde Group Inc.,is now responsible for Hyde Tools and Industrial Blade Solutions and A. Richard Tools of Canada, all of which are owned by Hyde Group Inc. Clemence noted Scoble’s strong experience, insight, and extensive knowledge of their markets as instrumental to the company’s continued expansion and growth of its industrial blade and construction tool businesses.

After more than 20 years of leadership in other privately held companies, Scoble joined the Hyde Group in 2005 as vice president of sales and marketing for Hyde Tools. In 2009 he was named executive vice president, and was tapped as president of Hyde Tools in 2010.

Hyde Group has been a source of tools since its founding in Southbridge as the Hyde Mfg. Co.in 1875. Hyde Group grew from its early start as a shoe knife manufacturer into a provider of surface preparation hand tools, paint applicators, and industrial knives. Hyde is best known in the fluid power industry for its hose-cutting blades.
