Can you attest to working with equipment that has been around as long as your career and still gets the job done? Are you familiar with the system that depends on regular upgrades and maintenance procedures over the years, just to wave goodbye when you retire?
Moog reaches out to those who relate, challenging engineers and factory workers to take a picture of their oldest operating Moog servovalves. The company claims its devices can function for more than 25 years, even in tough environments. The person who takes a pic of the oldest servovalve will win the grand prize—a $500 Amazon Voucher. Second and third prizes are also offered, as well as monthly drawings for $50 Amazon Vouchers.
“We’re celebrating our reliability and anniversaries in Europe, while having fun by challenging people to find the oldest operational Moog servovalve,” said Gary Parks, Group Vice President and General Manager, Industrial Services, Moog Inc. The company has been operation in Europe for half a century.
Using a smartphone, participants should take a photo of the valve, including the serial number on the nameplate, so that Moog can check the date of the valve. Participants should then upload the photo and complete a short form at www.oldestvalve.moogglobalsupport.com. The contest ends midnight BST on 29th February 2016. Click here for terms and conditions.
