Booster-intensifiers

Aug. 11, 2014
Line of intensifiers and boosters is intended for any low, medium, or high-pressure application. Hydraulic boosters convert low-pressure shop air into hydraulic (including water hydraulic) power at high pressure. The boosters come with hard-coated aluminum tubing to provide a wear-resistant, low-friction surface.
Ram-type boosters intensify pressure based on the ratio between a low-pressure piston and high-pressure ram, thuss eliminating the need for hydraulic pumps or power pack units. Piston-type boosters can also be used as an accumulator, depending on its location within the hydraulic circuit. Piston rods are ground, polished, and hard-chrome plated. Air-oil tanks to can be provided with boosters for applications with minimal space requirements. NBS-5 single pressure and NBD-5 dual-pressure ram-type boosters work at pressures to 5,000 psi.  NB-3 piston-type Booster and accumulator handles pressure to 3,000 psi.
