The NFPA Education and Technology Foundation has awarded a major research grant to Dr. Brian Steward and the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Department at Iowa State University. The project, Dielectric Spectroscope Sensor Development for Hydraulic Fluid Contaminant Detection, will focus on developing new technology for low-cost, on-board, real-time fluid power sensors.

Industry partners with an interest in this area of research are welcome to join the advisory board that will provide oversight, recommendations and guidance to the researchers. Participating companies will help ensure the project serves the needs of industry and will have chances to commercialize the results of the research discovery.
