  • Applications across industries
  • Future trends

Speakers

Valeria Tirelli
President and CEO
Aidro

Valeria Tirelli is president and CEO of Aidro, an Italian company that excels in introducing additive manufacturing alongside conventional fluid power manufacturing. The company, founded more than 40 years ago by Valeria’s father, specializes in CETOP valves and hydraulic manifolds and thanks to her pioneering vision, Valeria transitioned the family business into the international Desktop Metal Group.

A few years ago, Valeria was amazed by the potential of metal additive manufacturing and decided to invest in this technology, creating a dedicated department within Aidro and promoting the adoption of additive manufacturing in various sectors, such as fluid power, energy and aerospace.
Valeria has participated in international groups for the definition of guidelines and standards for Energy, Oil & Gas and Maritime sectors, such as DNV, API, ASTM. She is a member of Power & Motion Editorial Advisory Board and AM Energy Steering Committee.

Valeria contributes in the international events and the evaluation of the technical content with a particular focus on additive manufacturing for IVS (International Valve Summit) and ASTM ICAM conference. As Area Manager for Women in 3D Printing Association in Italy, she organizes and has moderated roundtables to promote additive manufacturing, diversity, inclusion and sustainability.

Dr. Matt Petros
Co-founder and CEO
3DEO

Dr. Matt Petros, co-founder and CEO of 3DEO, has a significant background in metal additive manufacturing, a field he delved into during his doctoral studies at the University of Southern California. During his PhD, he co-invented and designed various metal additive manufacturing processes, including in binder jetting technologies. He also collaborated with several Fortune 500 companies, aiding in the development of impactful 3D printing solutions.

Alongside Dr. Payman Torabi, Dr. Petros co-founded 3DEO in 2016, recognizing a market gap in the industrial application of metal 3D printing. The company leverages computational geometry, electromechanical design, materials science and Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) to offer differentiated, innovative and scalable manufacturing solutions through their patented printing technology, Intelligent Layering and full-stack ecosystem.

Dr. Petros’ blend of academic innovation and hands-on experience with industry leaders has positioned him as a knowledgeable figure in the field of additive manufacturing. His insights offer a clear perspective on the growth potential and practical application of 3D printing technologies in the manufacturing industry.
