Ross Acquires Industrial Division of Automatic Valve Corp.

The companies will combine their resources to provide myriad ISO-certified products to Ross's established global distribution base.

Ross Controls’ acquisition of Automatic Valve Corp. will add more ISO-certified equipment to Ross’ existing portfolio. Automatic Valve, a manufacturer of pneumatic industrial valves for automation, automotive, and process control applications, will diversify Ross’ current offerings that include ISO-certified pneumatic valves, control systems, fluid-power safety solutions, poppet valve technology, and customized ROSS/FLEX solutions for machinery and automation.

Ross primarily sells its products globally to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and end-users, with manufacturing and distribution facilities located in the United States, Germany, France, England, Japan, China, Brazil, India, and Canada. Ross also markets its products through a worldwide network of more than 100 distributors.

Automatic Valve operates mainly out of its Novi, Mich., facility, and is recognized for its ability to provide fast, customized solutions. Ross will continue to design and manufacture the majority of Automatic Valve’s industrial product portfolio in Novi.

Note: ROSS did not acquire Automatic Valve’s Nuclear division which will continue to service its nuclear power customers while operating under a new name—Automatic Valve Nuclear (www.avnuclear.com).
