Enerpac RACH and RARH Hydraulic Cylinders Aid Maintenance, Lifting and More

Aug. 14, 2023
The RACH and RARH Series aluminum hollow plunger cylinders feature a lightweight and portable design to aid with various lifting, tensioning and maintenance projects.

The RACH and RARH Series aluminum hollow plunger cylinders from Enerpac, also called hydraulic cylinders or center-hole cylinders, provide engineers with a lightweight, portable tool for lifting, tensioning and other applications.

Features of the hollow plunger cylinders include:

  • up to 150-ton capacity
  • lightweight but durable design
  • hollow shafts for pulling and tensioning
  • compatible with a broad range of pumps.

Hydraulic Power Aids Range of Applications

The RACH and RARH Series aluminum hollow plunger cylinders provide engineers with a portable tool they can use for lifting, tensioning, pulling and pull testing, maintenance and other use cases. A tough aluminum construction provides a durable yet lightweight design which makes it easy to transport the hydraulic cylinders from one project to the next in construction, manufacturing and other applications.

The RACH model is a single-acting cylinder while the RARH is a double-acting model. Both hydraulic cylinders have the same features, though the RARH model provides quicker and more controlled contraction and is lighter in weight as it has a lower collapsed height.

Each cylinder model features a threaded collar inside the plunger, allowing for attachments or threaded rods to be easily connected. Capacities range from 20 to 150 tons and 2-10 in. strokes. The cylinders are rated for up to 10,000 psi.

A high-strength return spring in the hydraulic cylinders provides rapid retraction.

These hydraulic cylinders can be used for rod and cable pulling and tensioning; rock-bolt testing; shaft removal and more. Both cylinder models are compatible with various pump types such as hand pumps and split flow pumps as well as Enerpac's EVO-Series synchronized lifting systems.
