Monnier Inc., Algonac, Mich., manufacturer of filters, regulators, lubricators (FRLs), and other air preparation products, recently acquired the assets of Fluid Air Controls LLC, consisting of Flairline and Hydronic Corp., both in Farmington Hills, Mich.
Flairline provides a wide array of standard and custom pneumatic and low-pressure hydraulic actuators, and related components for all industries. Actuators include round, stainless steel, and rod lock cylinders; pneumatic slides; and NFPA standard interchangeable cylinders. Flairline also offers a multi-optioned, industry standard line of flow-control and check valves, panel mounted, and swivel mounted valves.
Founded in the 1953, Hydronic Corp. manufactured a range of specialist hydraulic components and remote controls. In 1985, the company expanded with its first range of air-driven pumps and power units. Reciprocating piston pumps and high-pressure systems became the company’s focus. Hydronic recently expanded its design capability for air-driven fluid pumps from 500 psi to 26,500 psi. The range includes miniature products for manifold mounting, complete off-the-shelf modular power packs typically used in powering clamps, fixtures, presses, lift tables, and special-purpose and production machines.
Fluid Air Controls is a wholly owned subsidiary of Monnier and will now operate under the name Fluid Air Controls Holdings Inc. Products will continue to be sold under the Flairline and Hydronic names, according to Pat Nichols, president of Monnier. Fluid Air Controls Holdings Inc. will operate out of its current location in Farmington Hills, Mich.
