Hannover Fair 2015: An Integrated Industry

The Hannover Fair, running from April 13-17 in Hannover, Germany, features 10 international trade fairs this year under the “Integrated Industry – Join the Network” banner. The theme focuses on the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution — including standardizing machine-to-machine communication, maintaining data security and creating new business models — and facing them with collective endeavors and networking.

Among the individual fairs is Motion Drive & Automation (MDA), in Halls 19-25, which houses hydraulic, pneumatic, power transmission, and control companies. MDA at HANNOVER MESSE is the world’s leading trade fair for power transmission and control technology, attracting more than 1,200 exhibitors and 79,900 visitors from more than 100 countries. The fair presents the latest innovations for efficient and reliable production processes.

Several other trade fairs will appeal to users of fluid-power systems and components. Industrial Automation showcases solutions for process, factory, and building automation systems. ComVac presents energy-efficient and sustainable solutions in compressed air and vacuum technology, ranging from the generation and treatment of compressed air to its distribution and use in machines and systems.

Efficient and green

The Energy Show documents the complete value-adding chain in the energy industry—from generation, supply, transmission, and distribution to the transformation and storage of electricity.

On a related note, the Wind Fair presents the complete spectrum of plants, components, and services for industrial applications.

Mobilitec is a fair focusing on hybrid and electric powertrain technologies, mobile energy storage, and alternative mobility solutions.

The final four

The other fairs at Hannover Fair 2015 include the Industrial Supply trade show, which offers the latest on industrial subcontracting and integration of innovations into supply chains and production.

Digital Factory delves into integrated processes and IT solutions, with a focus on interdisciplinary product development.

The Surface Technology fair is the platform for the applications- and solutions-oriented presentation of innovative products and technologies. From pre-treatment to painting and electroplating technology, the show covers all of the different processing stages that go into the making of coatings or the treatment and finishing of surfaces

Finally, the fair for Research and Technology presents research findings and cutting-edge industrial innovations, with an emphasis on technology transfer between the scientific community and the business world.
