Hydraulics & Pneumatics' October Products

Oct. 24, 2017
From solenoid valves and fluid-leak tracking kits, here are some featured products for motion control and safety in fluid power systems.

Coupling Plate Improves Safety for Line Connection, Disconnection

The BM3 multi-coupling plate is designed to enable simultaneous connection and disconnection of multiple large diameter (1½-in.) lines containing residual pressure up to 3625 psi at working pressures up to 5100 psi. They reduce operator error and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) to save time and money. The BM3 offers a single motion connection and an auto-locking system. It reduces downtime, leakage, and contamination of fluid.

Leak-Detection Kit Illuminates Most UV-Sensitive Dyes

The Spectroline LTK-441 LeakTracker kit features a UV-light LED LT-300 LeakTracker flashlight that detects leaks in hydraulic equipment including compressors, engines, gearboxes, and fuel systems. The kit works with all oil- and water-based fluorescent dyes, including difficult-to-fluoresce yellow, white and blue dyes, and dye-treated dirty fluids. The dye included in the kit can treat up to 64 gallons of oil-based fluid. The flashlight features a rugged, corrosion-resistant, anodized aluminum lamp body to stand up to years of heavy use. It is powered by three AAA batteries (included), and provides four hours of continuous use.

The kit also include an 8-ounce twin-neck bottle of OIL-GLO 44 concentrated oil dye, GLO-AWAY dye cleaner, dye treatment tags, belt holster, lanyard, UV-absorbing glasses, and carrying case.

Solenoid Valves Receive UL Listing

The 5J and 5F series molded solenoid valve connectors with integrated gaskets recently received Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listing, confirming their performance and safety in assemblies and machines. The connectors are available in a variety of sizes and wire lengths with options for indicator lighting, surge protection, and other features. An IP67/NEMA 6 environmental rating comes standard.

Encoder Modules Supplement Multi-Axes Motion Controllers

The Quadrature encoder input module (Q4) combined with the RMC200 motion controller can supply closed-loop electro-hydraulic motion control for up to 32 axes.  Each Q4 module has four incremental quadrature encoder input channels (A, B, and Z) supporting RS-422, HTL, or TTL. Each input channel has home and registration inputs with 5-V or 24-V signal levels. LEDs indicate encoder faults and the state of the home and registration inputs. Other RMC200 modules incorporate Synchronous Serial Interface (SSI) input, high-performance 18-bit analog, and configurable Discrete I/O.

Multi-Port Selector Ball Valves Enable Easy Installation, Operation

Four- and six-port selector valves enable bidirectional flow switching between ports. Valves feature one central inlet at the bottom and four or six outlets on the perimeter of the valve body. Operators can push the flat on the knurled knob while turning the knob to select the active port. Flow can also be directed from one of the outlet ports to the single inlet port. They are available with 10-32 or ¼-28 threads, and work at supply pressures up to 500 psig.
