Motion Controller Expands I/O Options

April 25, 2018
High-density 8-channel voltage output module (CV8) expands number of control axes while consuming less panel space.

High-density 8-channel voltage output module (CV8), used with company’s RMC200 closed-loop electro-hydraulic 32-axis motion controllers, expands number of control axes while consuming less panel space. It can also free up slots on the backplane for additional functionality, such as data acquisition. The module’s eight voltage outputs are suitable for controlling an actuator, and its eight discrete input/output connections provide general-purpose control or data acquisition. The CV8’s outputs are ±10V at 5mA and can be configured by user to custom ranges, such as 0 to 5 V, ±5V, and 0 to 10 V for direct connection to a wide array of hydraulic valves. The eight discrete I/O points can be individually configured as either general purpose inputs or outputs, fault inputs, or enable outputs.
