Don’t try this at home. . . or anywhere else
H&P reader Floyd Stearns, of Unidex Inc., Warsaw, N. Y., submitted this image, which was sent to him by his son, who is serving in the military overseas. The workers in this plant apparently needed to lift some heavy equipment higher than the capability of their lift truck. So they must have figured that using two lift trucks would double the lifting distance.
Sometimes you must be resourceful when facing a challenging task, but not at the expense of safety. And what about the two people brave enough — or dumb enough — to stand in the middle of all this?
