Pack Expo 2011 packs a punch in Las Vegas

Sept. 15, 2011
Pack Expo Las Vegas 2011 will offer record-breaking exhibit space and more exhibitors for packaging professionals.

This year’s Pack Expo, the annual packaging and processing trade show produced by PMMI, will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center Sept. 26–28, and promises to be larger and more innovative than ever. The event will be kicked off with the Leadership Lecture series, with a presentation by Gen. Colin Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State, National Security Advisor, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

More than 1600 exhibitors will present new products and technologies, in more than 600,000 ft2 of exhibit space. Processing equipment, operations software, packaging machinery, converting machinery, materials and containers, plus the latest in secure packaging, printing, graphics, and instrumentation will be on display.

Special exhibit pavilions include ones dedicated to confectionery, processing, reusable packaging, pharmaceutical, and an expanded Brand Zone. Market-specific lounges will also be interspersed throughout the show floor.

The conference offers targeted education tracks that will focus on operations, best practices (pharmaceutical), sustainability, workforce development, product safety, beverage operations, converting, trends, and innovation.

Finally, CPP Expo (Converting & Package Printing) will co-locate with Pack Expo, highlighting the changes and evolutions in package printing, coating, slitting and other state-of-the-art materials and services.
